Hi, sorry if this is the wrong area to be posting this.
I believe I have a slight finger infection. The end of my finger has gone red and there is what seems to be some puss in the corner of the nail. It's quite sore.
Does this warrant a trip to the doctors or is it safe to drain it at home?

Head to A&E. Do it now rather than tonight as it will be busy tonight with idiots.

Some of the infections can be treated as an outpatient, but several will require inpatient treatment and IV antibiotics. Because the organisms that cause these infections are similar, many of the same types of antibiotic medications may be used.
