RE: varicose veins - please help!
Hi SM
No replies so far? Well, at the risk of sounding like a broken record 😮 traditional acupuncture can treat varicose veins.
Where there is a lot of prolapse, perhaps in the very elderly, treatment may not reverse the process, but in this case can help with the pain. In the younger, it can increase the energy that holds everything up, and so reverse the prolapsing veins.#

RE: varicose veins - please help!
Well thanks again Aragorn. She's in her thirties, lives in Kingston, Surrey - anyone you'ld recommend? There are lots of TCM places around - one in New Malden who treated someone who went on to win Wimbledon. Would that be the right place? Sharon

Hi Sharon
I do not know any of the trad acupuncturists in Kingston personally.
There are nine registered, and you can see them [DLMURL="http://www.acupuncture.org.uk/content/PractitionerSearch/searchform.asp"]here[/DLMURL]. (Do a search for Kingston).

RE: varicose veins - please help!
I have noticedI have an increasing amount of v v's occuring just on my left leg! Could this be partly hereditary as my mum has always had vein problems since her 40's. Had them 'stripped' a few times but to no avail so not looking at that for myself!
Am I right in thinking Horse Chestnut ointment massaged into the area is helpful? Is it the massage or the ointment that works?! They are looking a bit unsightly now but as I wear trousers all the time they are not noticeable but I would like to improve them(apart from Accupuncture).
Any ideas folks?

Include in your diet plenty of oily fish such as;

Varicose Veins Treatment Non-surgical procedures cost
Hi
Varicose Veins Treatment
There are several possible treatments for varicose veins. Non-surgical procedures include elastic stockings, elevating the legs, and exercise. The traditional varicose veins surgery has been vein stripping (physically removing the affected veins under general anaesthetic). Newer surgical therapies such as sclerotherapy (a chemical injections to shrink the veins), endovenous laser therapy (Varicose Veins Laser Treatment) and miniphlebectomy are less invasive and are replacing the traditional surgical approach.

It is possible that the BioSil was even more effective, in terms of the varicose veins, than the trace minerals. It is supposed to strengthen vessel walls.
