RE: Restless leg syndrom

Hi Debo,
I get it on occasion. Usually when I've been on my feet too long. My GP said it sometimes is related to potassium need, so eat a banana. It really is annoying isn't it. I will massage from foot to knee as this is where it centeres from ,in me at least,to relax the muscles. I also consciously send relaxing thoughts to the area. Hope this helps. If it gets too bad, there are prescriptions. But I hear that side effects can occur, as you are depressing the nervous system.

Hi Debo,

I would find a good Osteopath or Chiropractor & get your back checked out. My Hubby had similar thing & his back was out of alignment but not necessarily enough to cause other symptoms. You could also try acupuncture which is a gentler approach.

I get this too, especially if I'm overtired, however I get it less now, as I don't drink coffee. It can be due to an imbalance of electrolytes, thus potassium, sodium (salt), magnesium etc.

I find magnesium tablets before bed does the trick on most occassions.

RE: Restless leg syndrom

I did a quick search for 'restless legs' or similar and amongst other answers there is a search page result

where the first URL mentions a Canadian product CALM.

I do not know anything about it - but my idea was to do a 'search' and see what turns up - as well as answers on this forum
