For a long time I've had a lump on my neck probably since I was around 14 or 15 and i'm not sure what to do. It's not painful, and if I flex my back I can't even tell it's there but I obviously don't want to walk around the beach or anything else the rest of my life flexing my back. When I put my shirts on its lifted there, unlike most males backs that have the nice droop from the neck to the shoulderblades. I don't have the best posture but to be honest I don't think it's my posture. If I move my head back it doesn't change at all it seems like fat to me and I don't know what to do. Please help!

Hi Dannyxboy1
welcome here on hp.
what does your GP says about this lump?( I am hoping that you have seen your doctor) It is imporatnt that you seek medical advice. Your GP may shed some light on it, have the tissue examined to rule out any nasties.and if it is all benign and you wanted to banish it with alternate ways, then this forum might come up with some helpful ideas.
All the best

From what you say, this lump is on the back of your neck?
If so, I very much doubt a doctor would think it's thyroid disease, as the thyroid is located on the front of the neck.

You really need to get a doctor to diagnose what it is. It could be that it's not something that's a problem, perhaps just some bony growth or something, but you need to be examined to find out.

Agree with Giles - see a doctor - it could be any number of things, and don't rule out the fact that it may be posture related. Go get it checked and then come back here for some treatment opinions.
