First they try botox on your trigger point. Then u do a diary to see if it makes a difference. If it does they remove the muscle. Google migraine surgery clinic and have a read. Not sure about the surgery part but will see how the botox goes. I have had botox for it before and it hasn't worked but I have discovered that's because they use cosmetic volumes. With this they give you much more apparently.

Worth a try anyway....

I'm guessing you've already tried to figure out what the possible causes may be, as in, if it's related to various foodstuffs etc?

Have you read "Migrains and Epilepsy" by Jan de Vries? Very good book.

Indo,

What have you tried that has been successful? Mine are just getting worse and I have spent thousands over the years on all sorts of things.

From memory:

Osteopathy (been hvg treatments monthly or more frequently for at least 15 yrs)
Acupuncture (4 different therapists incl five element)
Kinesiology
Massage (obviously)
Reflexology
RPG - very good but hardly any therapists in Britain
Food allergy testing
Hair analysis
Pilates
Changing sleep pattern & trying loads of different pillows
Going vegan (to avoid dairy)
Workstation & special chair for work incl light removal
Reiki
Hopi ear candles
Aromatherapy
Special bruxisim mouth guard
Botox (but only cosmetic levels)
Sinus wash (Neti pot)
Salt pipes
Oxygen therapy

Can't think of anything else at the moment ...

Hi Vicki - I note you have not tried -specifically the 2nd half of the page. Have a look here, as it might just be the answer to your problems and you can work with a practitioner over the phone or with Skype, so you don't have to travel - and you can work on yourself with any issues that come up. WELL worth a try. There are videos to watch and a free download of basic instructions.

Hope it gets sorted soon.
