Hello all,

About 10 weeks ago I started experiencing an increased need to clear my throat, essentially a post nasal drip creating the weirdest throat/chest sensations - Wasn't really bothersome tbh and would come and go.

However beginning of May this became more of a nuisance and now accompanied with new symptoms inc. fatigue, congested face/throat/chest, waves of feeling sick/nausea (like flu), on/off blocked nose and the odd bit of sneezing/coughing.

I felt pretty awful at times and i saw a doctor who did a general health check and found everything to be fine and reckoned I had a viral infection (possibily glandular fever). Since then, my symptoms have mainly been post nasal drip, fatigue, tiredness and occasional weariness/nausea (no actual vomiting). I definitely feel better compared to May, and usually i am relatively fine for a week, then it hits me like a wave and i feel rough for a day or 2. Seen the doctor twice more, had bloods done which revealed nothing of note apart from low potassium levels.

Doctor concluded post viral fatigue which i am guessing is doc speak for 'we don't specifically know whats wrong with you' - Has anyone had similar symptoms, particularly the throat mucus/post nasal drip, and whether a specific diagnosis was made? I would also welcome any general suggestions or insights from anyone else as I have never experienced anything like this before and is really starting to get me down.

I think my present situation can best be summed as malaise, lack of motivation and recently heart palpations. Hope someone can help 🙂

I have considerable experience of working with post viral syndrome, ME etc.
in most cases, it is the general direction of the energy within the person, that had been moving in self depleting manner years before these symptoms manifest. So the person....not the symptoms need to come right.

You are spot on that when the doctors don't know what to make if it,they come up with terms such as post viral fatigue etc etc. it is more common occurrence than most people realize.

You say thaat the doctors have done all kinds of tests to rule out any nasties, then make peace with it. Don't go down the rabbit hole....stay well out of it. I explain- please refrain from giving these symptoms a name. Because that's the start of an entrapment. At this point a few sundry symptoms start to turn into a 'condition', that one must cure/ clear/heal before life can move forward....and for some it may take decades to clear it. So it's not very helpful to pin it down with a label. I do understand the urgency in you to know what exactly it is, what is its name, how people deal with it, what happens next and so on. It's natural, but don't make it an internal chatter of what why. Because that will make it a bigger problem. Instead know that whatever it is you can see it off...

Treat the waves of energy that come over you as just waves. As the wave comes, embrace it, if it throws you back allow yourself to go down with it. Don't hold back, go down with it. If you feel sick, allow that feeling of nausea wholeheartedly, relax into that sensation. Energy will move very quickly. Same with feeling rough- allow it. Don't try to change the sensation, but allow the sensation.

As for post natal drip, fatigue etc-add fresh greens, turmeric, ginger, garlic in meals. Vitamin c and B can be supplemented for a time, especially vitamins c, take at least 5000cc of vit c daily for at least 2 weeks....even longer. The idea is to support your body

Rest, but keep your mind clear of doubtful, low vibrational victimizing, confusing and helpless thoughts...your inner dialogue with yourself must also be congenial to well being.

Most dis-ease is psycho somatic in nature. So use your mind. Make sure that it does not work against you.
Make sure it does not dwell in the problem-mode because then it is your biggest enemy

Hope it makes some sense
May balance be found

Wow Jnani, this really spoke to me at a deep emotive level. I have been reading a good deal about the mind, healing and diseases. Your thoughtful and thought provoking post really helped summaries my exact feelings. A few years ago i actually came down with RSI in both arms and all the physical/medical treatment in the world only masked those symptoms. It wasn't until i picked Sarno's 'healing back pain' book that my RSI vanished after 3 days finishing the book. Trust me, i totally fell in the victim blame game and was unable to work, do normal acitivities or enjoy life. Totally debilitated myself!

I really love what you have said about labelling and just fully accepting and letting go. This is the hard part as for as long as i can remember, i have always had a little health anxiety. It really flared up early this year (due to some other health problems, which was really the anxiety creating the health problems, or at least, making them farrrrr worse), and just as i felt i had recovered (i did CBT and practicing being more present), this started happening with the post nasal drip, and here i am today. So, i absolutely agree, i have been self-depleting myself. I have taken on board what you have said, but how would I rebalance myself and bring back the energy and of course, not have something like this happen again?

I now know I need to follow "keep your mind clear of doubtful, low vibrational victimizing, confusing and helpless thoughts...your inner dialogue with yourself must also be congenial to well being" to first recover. Would simply following this way of living create the balance needed along with good rest? Any suggestions, advice even books would be utterly appreciated with all my heart.

Thank you once again!

Glad you could hear it.
What you say is a good plan to follow the advice. Try. It will keep your nose in the right direction.

1. I would keep away from books...just start doing what you know will empower you. Books are over rated, especially Self-help ones. Save that energy and invest it in relaxing into your being.
...How to balance yourself sonit won't happen again?

For that again, you can stick with the same plan. But What may happen sometimes, is that the subterfuge energy is powerful, subtle self sabotaging that one is back to square one. In that case, seek someone who could instill awareness in you and also energetically remove those barriers to personal peace and establish you in your being.
Hope that helps
