Hi, anyone here also using Tuina massage for their fibro or arthiritis? I am looking for a good one in the London area, preferable with real Tui na trainning, not those " qualified therapists" with only a few weeks of "training".
Tui Na really worked well for my fibromyalgia, and I am desperately looking for an experienced and affordable therapist in London.
Anyone know if you could get Tui Na from NHS?
:(Broke and in pain at the moment. Hope someone could give me some info. ThankS!:)
Will be glad also if someone could give me some tips on how to get affordable treatment. I am new to teh NHS system etc, and have been spending money on muscles rubs.
Amytriptyline which the doc gave me is hopeless.
RE: Tuina Therapy for fibromyalgia
Suggest you try the Traditional Chineses Medical colleges. Training colleges usually have in-house clinics, to enable senior students to gain experience. All treatment done is monitored by tutors and for a discounted treatment you'll be helping a student get experience and qualification. As an interesting case they should be fighting to treat you. 😀
I support the idea, as I benefitted from this idea at my old college the British School of Osteopathy. I've been on the other side too and when I needed a wisdom tooth yanking out I went to the Dental College in Liverpool. There you just turn up and they see you that day - top banana! 😉
On the issue of fibromyalgia, then suggest taking a look at the Thread at the top of this Forum - [link= http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=67802 ]http://www.healthypages.net/forum/tm.asp?m=67802[/link]
