Hi everyone,

wondered if anyone could suggest anything for ''extreme tiredness''?
These days i seem to be lacking energy and tired all the time. [&:]

It doesn't matter if i have a good or a bads night sleep, or how many hours i get im still tired! The tiredness doesn't seem to get any better during the day either, just worse. If i sit down to relax for 10 mins i will be asleep, and can sleep for over two or three hours if left.[sm=sleep.gif][sm=sleep.gif][sm=sleep.gif]

I tried getting a few early nights, taking some long walks in the fresh air, having another shower etc to see if it would help but nothing seems to make a differece. A few people have commented now about the lack of energy and asked was i depressed and suggested seeing a doctor ....Thing is i dont feel depressed or down at all... just very very tired lol[sm=banghead.gif][sm=banghead.gif]

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Fiona 🙂

RE: Tiredness?

Hello Fiona

I had the same thinga few years ago and it turned out i had this thing called mononucleosis - a form of glandular fever I think. I was soooooooooo tired! It was literally to the extent of getting out of bed, walking downstairs to get a drink and then getting back in bed and falling asleep until mid afternoon as the stairs had exhausted me so much.

I just had to have a blood test to get it diagnosed and in the end I was so glad I knew what it was as the tiredness had really been getting me down - I definitely know how you feel.

Sorry I don't have any better advice but it may just be worth getting a blood test to check everything out. I think anaemia can make you feel very tired too, as can lots of other treatable things.

Take care of yourself anyway,

Love rachel x

RE: Tiredness?

I was desperately trying to keep my eyes open whilst at work the other day - frantically burning lemon and lime, etc. But for me, it is definitely the time of year and although I know this, it somehow always takes me by surprise.

Even though the weather is still good, I think it must be the shorter days, but it takes me a couple of months to adjust and even then I have days throughout the winter when I get, so tired, that even after a good night's sleep, after getting my daughter off to school, I have to go back to bed for an hour. I hate doing it as it's such a waste of time, but I just can't function. I was fine all through the summer, so I guess it must be a form of SAD.

RE: Tiredness?

Hi Fiona

A couple of things come to mind. Firstly coffee really isn't going to help, it can interfere with blood sugar levels & cause hypoglycaemia (making you feel low, tired and weak), which is only going to make you feel worse. Do you do any vigorous exercise? Whenever I'm feeling tired all the time, it's the last thing I want to do, but it really does help. Did you have any illness before you began to feel tired?

It does sound like your body is fighting something, your body has a remarkable way of finding the right solution.

I too had something similar, and it was the old yeast, wheat and potatoes that did it for me. Once I cut those out I was skipping. Also being in a job I didn't like helped with keeping the illness. Changing that gave me more energy too.

From an NLP basis. Ask yourself, what is the tiredness doing for me? What is its positive intention? See what comes up.

Lots of love

RE: Tiredness?

This could be a number of things:

Diet - already mentioned - cut out too many carbs, too many sweet things etc the body uses up much energy digesting complex foodstuffs keep it simple

could be lack of minerals in the bloodstream, the body needs minerals for many of its vital organs. try magnesium and zinc. very powerful and aide in energy and metabolism

stress - something on your mind taking up your energy

time of year, seasonal affective disorder, many of us get this. sometimes our bodies just need a rest, and it could be viral related but also the sudden change in season which has hit us all this year i think.

try not to dwell on it too much. you are taking walks, try a brisk walk, energising movements in yoga can help, breathing exercises....etc. have you altered your sleep pattern at all, that is you are not getting enough in the night time hence the need to sleep in the day or feel lethargic. it could be glandular, viral and i am sure there will be many helpful tips on this site to bring you into recovery.

love and light

Am still VERY tired, but have started to try and cut down on the carbs and sugar i take and am also drinking more water (TRYING and ease of on the coffee too)

Am making sure i get an extra hour in bed when possible and maybe after doing this for a few days i will feel better,

RE: Tiredness?

Hi Fiona

I had ME 10 years ago (Chronic Fatigue) and slept 16 hour days it was terrible. I went on a mission to find out what I could do to help.

Diet has a lot to do with it and I agree Sacredstar it can be yeast, candida and parasites very often.

If you would like to get in touch I would be happy to suggest some natural products which can help you.

You have to be careful which brand you choose when taking supplements as a lot of them are full of sugar that only makes it worse. If you can avoid sugar it really does help.

Please feel free to email me for further information:

RE: Tiredness?

Dear Fi

not sure if your know, but the thread you started on arthritis was moved to the new condition/symptom related forums.

Fatigue is just another symptom that goes with the picture that I've since enlarged upon there & on the new candida thread & elsewhere. [>:]

Sugar craving is another symptom - chromium may reduce this in meantime to help with diet, but do have a look at the other stuff on this issue. [sm=mecry.gif]

I never said it was easy & things usually go up & down & up & down. [sm=jump2.gif]

For me - it's frustrating to know that all else I can do is send you love & healing, but the frustration is my problem. [sm=sad2.gif]

Hi, Being tired all the time could be a sign of Diabete's. Need to be checked for Diabete's.

RE: Tiredness?

I also suffer from this ~ for me it has gone along with menopause symptoms ~ However, I use tapes to get off to sleep which took a few weeks to actually work and I had to stick at it.

I have a great Louise Hay tape which relaxes me and also gives me positive messages.
