Hi All
My mum suffers from ME and I am really struggling to find a forum for her to join, I've searched high and low and have only found one that looked any good but they werent accepting any more registration at the moment!
Can anyone suggest a forum? if you know of one
Many thanks
Hi Sophia,
Well, apart from her joining Healthypages (you've found this forum which is for such conditions ;)) what sort of support is she looking for that isn't offered here? If people know that then perhaps they will be able to offer more concise suggestions.

There is a very big international forum which offer support groups for a LOT of conditions:
I'm not sure how good it is - as I haven't used it personally - might be worth a look though.
Good luck!
Hi
Sorry to hear about your mum. I know from personal experience that ME is an incredibly debilitating and life-stealing illness. I have found the following forums to be both friendly and helpful:
Hope these are of some help!

I have had considerable success in helping patients overcome their ME in next-to-no-time with EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques. If you have not heard of it please go where you find out all about it - for free! I specialise in ME/CFS and other depressive disorders, so if you would like to discuss it with me, please feel free to contact me.
Forget support with the condition - get rid of it!
Love and energy,
John.
As an ex-sufferer of CFS, I can only say my heart goes out to her. There's hope. It can take a little time, but mountains can be moved, sometimes much quicker than others. If I'd known about the options I would have been well much sooner, as would many others.
There are many techniques out there which could help, of those I practice, I would reccomend EFT, Freeway CER and Natural Healing. I can vouch that all three methods can have a significant effect upon this. There are boundless others, which can help, although I've not experienced them myself. I would probably include hypnotherapy and any other mind therapy in that. Examining environmental intolerance is key to this, as many sufferers have become sensitive to their surroundings. There are methods out there which can help you to adapt and cope much more readily to such stimuli.
Diet and nutrition can help greatly, seriously. Get her on water and a good balanced diet and her body can start to build itself up.
I've harped on, sorry for that. It's wonderful that you are looking for support for her, here is my suggestion.
There is a forum but as you'll see it started in Autumn and didn't really take off. But the website is an excellent resource and will help her to come to terms with things and will also help her to understand things a little more. It is well researched. Perhaps if she does post on the forum, the people who own the site will assist.
