Hi all,

For the past 3 days I keep waking up in the morning feelingreally tired with no energy even though I sleep really well. I'm not sure what the cause is and wondered whether I maybe lacking in something like iron. I'm 47, and I think I'm just at the very beginning of my menopause as my periods are starting to become irregular, perhaps this maybe a sympton. Can anyone recommend something that could help me please?

You may have sleep apneoa?. Worth checking it out with your doc,. There is a thread here somewhere about sleep apneoa.

I guess it is just an age thing. Give it ten years to settle down and you'll be fine!
Seriously though if it persists I would check with the quack.
Good luck

Low energy and fatigue are a symptom of excess acidity in the body. By moving your body back into its optimum pH range you will recover your energy. Excess acidity in the tissues can be caused by diet, by stress, by the metabolic wastes of candida etc. There are many useful books available on pH living. People that adopt an alkalising strategy for their lives slow down the ageing process.

Have your thyroid checked, especially if problems run in your family. If your TSH comes back borderline, demand a free T4 and free T3 test. I was told I was borderline for twenty years until I saw an endocrinologist who knew what he was doing.

Otherwise, have your estrogen levels checked. If they are low, try cyclogest and estradot patches. These are bioidentical HRT, not the dangerous horse urine stuff.
