I just wanted to post some information and if anyone finds it useful, great!

There can be a very profound effect to the body when a person's ferritin level is low. This is amarker of the body's iron stores, and can be very decreased before anaemia officially sets in and is a very good indication of iron deficiency. The medical profession has a very wide 'normal' range for this test (12 - 150) but from what I have found out, between 50-90 is what it should be for there to be no symptoms.

I have been like a walking zombie for a while, and recently got this tested and my level came back at 3! I am now on iron and vitamin C tablets and hope that in a few months I'll have some energy back.( I am personally aimingto raise my levelto around 70). I also havea thyroid problem that medication didn't seem to be helping, but in actual fact it was my ferritin levels causing the dizzyness, mind fog, shaky legs, difficulty getting out of bed in the morning ( and I could go on and on!)

I hope this helps someone,

Chilled.
