Hi, my aunt has been having some strange symptoms over the last few months and i'm wondering if it could be polymyalgia or fibromyalgia (I don't know an awful lot about these conditions or quite what the difference is between them). The doctor has brushed her off putting it down to age (she's in her mid 60's).

She complains of pains and stiffness in various changeable areas of her body but mainly her ankles, knees, arms - sometimes her fingers and neck also suffer. She showed me one of her fingers which was painful and swollen but she said it would probably be gone by the next day. She is often unable to lift her arms due to stiffness and pain.

The strangest symptom is swollen lumps in her head which come and go - I felt a ridge like swelling on the back of her head which she said is tender to touch, again she said it would probably disappear by the next day.

As far as i'm aware she doesn't have any other symptoms.

Does anyone have any idea's?

Thank you
Sx

All these debilitating disorders and conditions are what used to be referred to as a "Nervous and Physical Breakdown". But the truth is that most of these cases, including; ME, CFS, PVFS, etc, are actually emotional overload and are treated quickly and efficiently by EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques - similar to the tapping that you may have seen Paul McKenna using in his "I can make you..." series on the telly.

Love and energy,

John.

Hi John. Very interesting post. I have tried TFT for my own CFS but it didn't have any noticeable effect... Have you had much success yourself in treating CFS etc?
