Firstly, I will try not to tire you with a detailed diary of the last 22 years of putting up with CFS. What I would like to relate is how it started for me - what I have tried and what has helped. I don't have a complete cure by the way.
It started back in 1984 with the flu. I had at least 2 lots of antibiotics and I never recovered. I had to sell my business and make do as best I could. Fortunateley I have a marvellous wife - and friends. After 6 years, I discovered what I had. The only thing that I found helped was -avoid any sugar, and caffeine.
Over the next ten years (I know its a nightmare isn't it) I tried all kinds of help - accupuncture, herbal, homeopaths, iridology - you name it. In 2003 I discovered a substance called CMO being marketed by Natural Essentials in Peterborough. CMO is a substance that puts the immune system back to normal. It was fairly expensive, but I tried it and it worked fantastically. I felt so well, that I went and did a walking tour of Cornwall -something that I had wanted to do for years and wasn't able.
Unfortunateley -the effects only lasted for about 6 weeks, and then all the old symptoms came back - feverish -could'nt think, had no energy, the usual ME list. Natural Essentials said that it would be best to stay on a maintenance regime - bit late really for that advice.
Anyway, I purchased some more CMO, expecting the same response, and NOTHING happened. AS you can imagine this was a severe blow.
Since 2003, the only other thing that has helped me is Hydrogen Peroxied therapy - which is really ghastly to take, BUT, it did kill the Candida, if thats a problem for you, AND it did get rid of the digestive problems associated with ME/CFS. So there we are. I'm better than I was 12 months ago but still not cured. If this info is of any use to you then great. BY all means E Mail me with any thoughts or feed back. If you want information on using Hydrogen Peroxide therapy (Its a fascinating article) then search for 'Hydrogen Peroxide' and then choose the article 'The Many benefits of)
Personally I think that many alternative practitioners are using quackery/bad advice, and taking money off desperate people, so be careful. Asto food allergies - I think thats bunkum too. Yours kindly -Robert.
