I'm embarking on a diet to help fight Candidiasis in the gut.
There is a lot of information on the web, most of which contradicts itself so i am struggling a little trying to find what I can eat and what I definately should avoid.
At the minute, I am cutting out all refined sugars and white flours and alcohol.
So my diet is mainly, Fresh meat, fish, fruits and juices, and fresh vegetables, and eggs, nuts and ryvita/rice cakes and shredded wheat, natural yoghurt and a little milk in tea and on breakfast cereal.
I'm usually not a hungry person, but I'm starving... like all the time, even after eating.
I'm craving sweets and breads.
Someone help me... I don't want to lose weight.
I'm not sure if shredded wheat is ok. ?? any takers?
Also, is popcorn ok? I'm trying to avoid starchy foods. But my body does require some carbs and more than i'm getting from fruit and nuts.
anyone got any advice on what else I can eat? preferably tasty and satisfying. I don't like rice (messes with my teeth) or brown pasta.

Hi Nackard,
Try porridge with dried fruit and honey for breakfast.
For your main meals, try lots of beans, pulses and root veggies to bulk out your food.
I'd strongly recommend "Cooking with beans" Nicola Graimes.
Myarka.
Hi Nackard
Have you read Beat Candida Cookbook
Also good idea to consult a nutritionist.
