RE: Anyone heard of this therapy

Have you looked at [link= http://www.mickeltherapy.com ]www.mickeltherapy.com[/link]

I live just north of Edinburgh, and have not heard of this therapy, where it seems to be centred, but it is new, so I will investigate. Seems quite expensive to train as a therapist, but if it works........

My friend Icey Lime has enthused to me about this, Icey believes that there is a lot of potential in this process for people who are commited to getting well. Icey has many articles on the subject on the Internet that can be found quite easily.

Let me know if I can help with more input.

I had not heard of this but went over to the site to read a bit about it.

There were statements on the site that I would, in principal, agree with but if I
were considering Mickel Therapy, I think I'd need to know a little more about it from
someone who had gone thru it themselves. You could contact the webmaster of that site
and ask if there is someone you can talk to by phone about their experiences with it.

I like that one of their goals is empowering people to understand their body intelligence
because there is a definite intelligence at work and we stay a lot healthier when we pay
attention to it's messages.

I'm not sure the mind can be excluded in cases of CFS or Fibro. In fact, every case I've ever worked with definitely included emotional and mental healing which then helped the body release. They may be saying it is not mind-healing for legal reasons.

This seems to be a somewhat curt response for a first posting, qwerty156.

As I understand the thread starter, she is asking about treating specific conditions. That does not seem to be pretentious in any way.

Why not also pop along to the New Members forum and introduce yourself there.

Also to bear in mind qwerty156, your reply is 8 months after the original post asked the question. Therefore Janice may have asked the question before the relevant therapy was up and running on that website.

So in agreement with Holistic, maybe your response was a little unjustified.

Ooh, get you.

I know of the poster and 'yes' or 'no' would have done, cant see where you got the pretending bit from either. The post looks to me more like an attempt to start a conversation, to offer views rather than suspicious drivel

Mickel Therapy is a boon for CFS and ME sufferers as well as some other ailments like IBS for example, I'd recommend it. I'd also recommend reading and listening to the questions.

So sad when this kind of attitude shows up on such a fantastic forum as Healthy Pages, but it seems to happen worldwide!!
