Hi all,

I am not sure the best place to post this but please can anyone advise me on what therapies work best for CFS. My friend is suffering quite bad at the moment -she has had CFS for just over a year now. We were wondering what has worked best for others or is there any advise you can give- she is also going stir crazy.

LOL

Hi BABE
I treat CFS with traditional acupuncture. It is a great therapy for energy levels and can truly get to the root of the problem, be it post-viral, emotional, undiagnosed physiological cause etc etc.
It's easy to find a qualified practitioner [DLMURL="http://www.acupuncture.org.uk/content/PractitionerSearch/searchform.asp"]here[/DLMURL].

Hi,

Whole fruit juice are good. Does your friend have a juicer? I also found homeopathy useful.

Also has yuor friend had their thyriod checked, also good idea to get their ferritin levels. A lot of people with CFS have oother health issues as well. My doctor says these are the two most common disorders that she sees in her CFS patients.

I have found writing to be a good way to deal with the four walls syndrome of CFS. It might sound simple but i founfd writing about going stir crazy helped.

Reflexology is a really good therapy for these sort of conditions, working on the general well being and helping the body balance to improve.
It is also very pleasant.:)

Echinacea and raspberry tea are lovely and lots of mineral water to drink can help. Reduce all highly processed foods, especially refined carbs and sugars. Wholemeal is much better. Ginkgo biloba helps circulation and aloe vera to help the digeative tract.
