Why would a probiotic that has one strain also list sodium as an ingredient. Why can't see the purpose of it to be honest and aren't we trying to avoid sodium. What would be the reason for putting this in a probiotic - and is it safe.

We're not trying to avoid sodium. We're trying to avoid too much sodium. Some is necessary for life.

Yes but why list it as an ingredient - no other probiotic does that well not to my knowledge - and I avoid extra sodium because there is enough in food without adding to it - just want to know why they've done this and is there a purpose.

What is the relationship between sodium and potassium? What diet would you recommend that would help me limit my sodium intake? Why is reducing sodium intake important? Can’t individuals reduce their sodium intake on their own? Why are policies needed? Are other countries working on sodium reduction? What can individuals do to lower sodium consumption? Why should Americans be concerned about sodium?
