Hi there,
i notived a couple of patches in very back of my tongue nearly 3 years ago. These patches get bigger towards the end of the day and feel awful feeling like something big stuck in my throat. Well, soon after that i visited my GP and she advised me to give blood test. That was positive and i went on antibiotic treatment. After that breath test, positive again. This circle happened again. So i have been on antibiotics three times so far. The symptoms are still there. I asked my GP to refer me to private hopsital so i can get checked through my work. She is still quiet (after 4 weeks). And now i am starting to have nightmares that i have big massive tumour in my mouth. It's such a pain.

Has anyone had these patches in your mouth? I believe it's stomach ulcer. I have been on lanzaprozole for 1.5 years now. Take twice everyday.

what should i do with my GP. I think the process start from beginning and it will even slower if i change my GP.

Can you please give me advise?

What do the patches look like? Also what was the blood test positive for? Was it for Helicobacter pylori bacteria as you say later on you believe its a stomach ulcer. The bacterium responds to medication fairly quickly - if you are not happy with your doctors response you are always entitled to request a second opinion on this. I would say you need to be more persuasive with your doctor and if need be get a referral to a specialist at your local hospital.

Hi there,

thank you for your response. I never was told what my problem actually was. When i asked my doctor she told me i had infection in my stomach and need to take antibiotics to clear it.

the patches started with 2 with a size of small beans...now it's spread over the whole area with tiny bubble-shaped patches. grown on top of each other. it's bit scary to look at it. The doctors explained the back of the tongue is irritated when stomach produces lots of acid and made these patches because it's swollen. it does calm down a bit if i take lanzaprozole regularly. But they don't dissappear.

And also my stomach really likes to snacked all the time, as soon as i start getting hungry it gets painful and makes me dizzy.

does it any help?

Hi Bayanaa

I do think you should go back to your doctor as you are still worried about your condition and the symptoms you are experiencing. Only a medical doctor can diagnose your condition you have to make sure they listen to what you have to say, as you don't get much time in a GP's consultation.
If you are not satisfied with the treatment you are receiving from your GP wither ask to see another doctor or ask for a referral to see a specialist.

There may be massage of acupuncture points on fingers joints
easy to do yourself.
I can compose the scheme with more info, what colour are they and
what are the feelings in details: pain, burning, swelling...?
