Have been itching for quite some time. I think it might be exzema related, but not sure if it might be worms.

I touched myself (sorry if too much information) and on my finger were all these little white "threads" but they weren't moving. I wasn't sure if it was just bits of skin?? Whenever I've had a "probe" before I've never noticed anything like this.

What do you think this was?

I never find anything on the loo paper after I have been to the loo though!

Hi Alison

Itching can be caused by a number of things, not just worms but as you say eczema, also allergies and Candida infection for a start. Without a full history we can't make any likely suggestions here (not an option!).

I'd pop into your GP's surgery and get a specimen pot for stools and take a sample back for their lab to inspect. You are more likely to get the right answer that way. The GP can then offer something to sort it out.

If s/he says there is nothing wrong then there are options that might be helpful from members here.
