Hi,
My six year old son has really bad breath. I make sure he cleans his teeth morning & night and have started getting him to swill a mouthwash but he can still smell straight after.
Any ideas?!
Thanks
Mandie
Hi MandieG,
It might mean a trip to the dentist and/or the doctor to rule out any mouth or throat problems with the gums where new teeth are being replaced, infections in the throat, tonsils and adenoids, blocked sinus and catarrh etc.
Also poor digestion and constipation can cause bad breath so is he drinking plenty and eating well?
Visiting Dentists and Doctors is much more fun now for children these days as they often give them stickers etc 🙂

Hi Mandie and hope things are going ok. I would endorse the previous post; there may be a physical health reason. But there can also be an energetic connection- a mind/body idea is that it is connected with angry or negative thoughts. So you might want to consider if he's under any stress, worried or angry about anything or with anyone......HTH Hom
Hi Mandie,
Have you tried a childrens Probiotic as bad breath in children can often come from the digestive system especially if they have been treated with anti-biotics in the past, as this wipes out the natural flora in the gut.
Good luck
Sue
Hi Mandie - Agree with the previous posts, but my first thought was the wrong gut bacteria - please find some suitable probiotic, preferably with over a billion bacteria. It will take a month or so to work. Meanwhile get him checked by the GP and Dentist.

wish you all the best and good luck!

Hi
Bad breath is mainly because of what we eat and drink. Make sure to give your child lots of fruits and vegetables. Avoid junk food including Pepsi cola and other energy drinks. Give him mint water this will help.
