'MMR doctor' to speak at special WDDTY conference
Dr Andrew Wakefield, the man at the centre of the MMR/autism controversy, is putting his side of the story at a special evening being organized by WDDTY in London.
It will be a unique opportunity to hear just why Dr Wakefield is standing by his theory of a possible causal link despite enormous public pressure to refute the claims.
He will be joined on the podium by Paul Shattuck, who is researching autism at the University of Sunderland, and by Lynne McTaggart, editor of What Doctors Don't Tell You.
The event is being held at the Logan Hall in central London on June 24.
Demand for tickets is expected to be high, so early booking is advisable. The ticket price includes teas and coffees, and a contribution will be made to a vaccine support group.
