My 16 year old has a painful lump under one of his nipples. I am wondering whether it is hormone related and it will just go away eventually. Anyone any ideas.
It is very painful so I am taking him to the doctors as a precaution.

I wouldnt want to comment as it could be so many things and would suggest just taking him to GP which you are, but would like to send some Reiki...

I've had BIG computer problems, so I've only just seen this.
My son who is 16 at the end of this month has got one under each of his nipples. I've had him to the doctors about it on 2 separte occassions, each time I've been told it's hormone's & to keep a check on them.
My son says they don't hurt all the time, but on other occassions are very painfull.

Hope you are well!! Nice to hear from you.
Nice to know we are not alone. The Triage nurse has given him anti-biotics (against my better judgement) which have just made him ill and not helped at all.
He actually things it has grown slightly over the last week.

My doctor also said it was 'normal' for boys of this age (although not all boys experience it).
