I'm interested to know what natural ways people have found to clear a baby's blocked nose. We've recently had a lot of success with Sterimar salt water nasal spray which is 100% natural and I wish I'd known about it when my daughter was a lot younger.

I'm expecting my second baby this spring so I'm planning on using Sterimar baby this time around.

What natural remedies have worked for you?

You close its mouth with your fingers, smiling, and say ¨Good girl¨ or ¨Good boy¨. An open mouth leads to a closed nose in sensitive individuals, so the best thing to do is to encourage the youngster from birth to keep his or her mouth closed. You can consult with a Buteyko practitioner if you want to know more. I hope this helps 🙂

With my boy, I used to use the albos oil on a tissue, but now he just presses acupressure points himself.

Id get them to blow their own nose, if its quite blocked then a oil diffuser with some eucalyptus or pine oil in the room would work well too

Not quite sure where my wife got in from (possible overseas), but we have a little siphoning contraption that has always worked really well in clearing our little one's nose anytime she has a cold, runny nose, and similar.

It has a 'trap' at one end that is placed just slightly into the nose, a plastic pipe about a foot long, and a mouth piece on the other end that you suck on. You just literally suck out the blockage. Sounds not so pleasant, but you are not sucking anything into your mouth - the trap and pipe prevent that, and it couldn't be more natural - you are not applying anything.
