Nearly a year ago I visited the GP about a mole/wart which had appeared on my leg.
I was told by the consultant at the hosp that it was a pre-cancerous mole.
Believe it or not,it was caused by too much sun heat when I lived in Australia 50 years ago!

I am now receiving some kind of special light treatment, which lasts for about 3 to 4 hours a day.
Can anyone here please give me any more information about how this treatment works?

Cheers.

This may help Cancer treatment using light : Cancer Research UK : CancerHelp UK - have you asked the department where you are having the treatment for some leaflets? Surely they must have explained it to you? I despair sometimes, about the lack of information given to patients!

Thanks Jabba,
Yes, I was given a leaflet which quite honestly was pretty useless.
I have looked on the net, garnered some info which was pretty general.
I have been assured that it is pre-cancerous but having to wait 10 months between treatment, is just not on.
But that is another issue.
Right,I'm off back to the net, will have a look at what you have suggested.
Many thanks.:)
