Hi everyone

New on here, will try to keep it short and sweet

I'm not very well, undergoing tests for suspected stomach cancer, I need some help.

I have drowned myself with information for the past few weeks and various diets, therapies etc, and I now dont even know where to start. I would be really interested in any particular regimes, foods, therapies that anyone could help me with, as I have no intention of waitng til I'm told whats wrong with me, I want to start now!! I am really interested if anyone has tried the hydrogen peroxide treatment, as i believe it is more effective for early cancer...

I am not gonna die, I am only 39 with a beautiful 12 year old daughter, and I'm not leaving her

Thanks in advance

I am not an expert in this area, but am aware of Dr Kate James who is a well-respected medical doctor specialising in supporting cancer patients using holistic methods, and nutrition is one of her main approaches.

Hi jadzhea

I have no direct experience with cancer, and would always recommend working with medical practitioners - which is evidently what you are doing. If your stomach is compromised then I would look at alternative routes to getting the nutrients that you need. I'd recommend doing a Google search for transdermal supplements (i.e. supplements that you rub onto your skin and are adsorbed directly into the bloodstream that way). There is a lot of research into this and has proven successful for folk who can't absorb supplements efficiently because of a gastrointestinal problem... i.e. Crohn's Disease. You've said you're already looking into diets - so, you'll be aware of the suggestions to consume vegetable juices, for their ease of absorption.

The other thing I would suggest is to really focus on reducing your stress levels as much as is humanly possible. Not easy when you have a wee lass to look after. A few people here recommended soaking your feet in a bowl of warm water to which a cup of Epsom Salts are added. This contains magnesium, which will relax you beautifully. You may wish to try relaxation or meditation. Again, Google for classes in your area - or CDs or books on eBay. If that interests you then folk here will be able to make suggestions.

A lot of people here swear by EFT. I *think* that they hang around the Mind Therapies forum. It's a self-healing treatment that takes minutes to learn, but improves as you practice and practice on yourself.

Regarding hydrogen peroxide - you may wish to contact these folk. They sell it, and welcome queries. I've done a fair bit of reading about it, because it captured my interest. However these folk would be the ones to speak with, as I've had no experience myself of taking it. Take care to buy food grade H2O2.

Hi Ava

Thanks for your info, I know what you mean about de-stressing, I am a natural worrier and I have a high pressured job.
I wake up in the morning thinking about cancer, and go to bed the same way, I know its not good for me, and the stress alone is prbably gonna make me ill.

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it

hi, sorry to hear of your possibble stomach cancer.

my experience of health issues in general has led me to believe that possibbly more important is what you don't do, i.e. what you don't eat or drink. also avoiding personal care and household chemicals is a good start, if you're not already. careful not to do too much as well, as crowding your body with healthy ideas and treatments may not help as much as less is more. low g.i. being good for everyone would be beneficial i think...tai chi may help more than expected. good luck and all the best...p.s. i'm not qualified...tc...

I would make contact with the Gerson Institute, or the society of natural hygeinists. No need to wait for a diagnosis before contacting them, as it can take a while to get onto the programme, there's obviously something wrong, and you might as well work on improving your health anyway. These people will show you how.

jadzhea, wheat grass and juicing, I understand, are very beneficial. I believe there are many things one can take to combat cancer in a holistic way. Maintain your pH balance, Vitamins D, E and Omega-3, and MSM are some of the things I have taken on a regular basis along with Vitamin B-17 (laetrile, apricot seeds) ground into a powder for the ease of taking. The apricot seeds are very bitter. I am not sure what exactly worked for me but I can tell you 69 months after diagnosis, something has definitely worked for me. I wish you the best in this difficult time and may you come to a place called health.

Hi Kcat

I have read many of your posts over the past few weeks while I have been observing, and I find you inspirational!!

Your input is much appreciated, I assume when you name vitamins and omega 3, you mean to get them from a natural food source rather than supplements?? I am wary of taking supplements, although i have bought some enzymes, as i have read they can destroy a protein coating around the cancer cells so any cancer killing nutrients can actually get to the heart of the problem as such.

I also bought acai berry and am just looking on ebay at buying freeze dried mangosteen, I think they are both impossible to source fresh

Thanks again Kcat

Jadzhea

PS... if you ever had the time to post a regime that you follow, i would be very interested 🙂

Whilst many are indeed good suggestions and ideas, these are complicated situations, this may be no time for re-inventing the wheel based on what you read on the internet.

The complication with diseases of the digestive system, is balancing the rate you can absorb nutrients, with the rate at which you can eliminate waste, and the stress that these processes place upon the organs in trouble. It's not just about what we put in, but whether the organs get a break from work so they have a chance to take care of themselves.

Balancing these considerations can require an expert. So don't go it alone, get the necessary - personal - support and guidance.

As well as the Gerson people and Natural Hygeinists there is the Penny Brohn centre in Bristol.

Hi Jadzhea

A worrying time for you. If you are looking for ways to help support your body, several have been mentioned in these forums and here specifically, but here are mine, for what it's worth:

- The Budwig diet has a good track record.
- Juicing - particularly of Brassicas - can make a big difference. See here. This will supply enzymes and excellent phytonutrients that are damaged by heat in a form that is easily absorbed, without too much extra fibre. Use a wide range of multicoloured plants for best results.
- Avoiding sugar is vital (except as in fruit and veg) see - lots of reading there!
- Reducing - and there are many other options available: meditation techniques, going for walks in parks or the countryside, contacting your inner self for support, listening to gentle music, visualisation of when you were fit and well and putting yourself back in that feeling - lots of methods!
- Not tried by anyone I know, but could make all the difference from the sound of it - see here. Worth a try anyway.
- Vitamins and minerals - I'd definitely go for them, but taking a quality product that your body can absorb and use - the high street varieties are not usually much use, mostly being artificial or cheap, poorly absorbed mixtures. I'd try Nutri's Multigenics, but there are other excellent ones.
- Low vitamin D levels has been cited much in cancer risk recently - see . Get your Dr to test for it - we are very short of it at these latitudes.
- Essential oils - Omega-3 and -6 are very much needed for repair and cell function. For O-3 eat oily fish - salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines.
- Reduce any inflammatory processes going on in your body - an excellent well-researched Nutri product is good (only available through practitioner as far as I can see), but others are available too. Eating lots of organic fruit and veg can help.
- Sprouting seeds (beans, Brassicas, lentils, etc) releases the stored nutrients to be highly available. You can buy them ready sprouted on the high street, but fun and easy to do at home (jam jar with perforated lid or sprouter).
- Getting your gut bacteria balanced is vital too - probiotics help do this, but again a quality one (from the chiller cabinet of a healthfood shop) with at least 10 billion bacteria of the Acidophilus and the Bifidobacteria strains, and probably Saccharomyces boulardii too to boost your immune function.
- Avoid toxins of all sorts - not only in smoke, in your foods and drinks, but in your environment - including toiletries, cleaning products and so on.
- The list is extensive, but there is much you can do to help yourself!

Lots of reading in the links above! Hope you find them helpful.

This is by way of being an overview of what I'd do, but to get the right advice for you then I would sincerely suggest you consult a registered nutritionist who can construct a programme specifically for you. You can find one .

Love and Light

jadzhea, one thing I don't do is subscribe to the RDA (recommended daily allowance). I refer to it as the 'ridiculous daily allowance'. With few exceptions like Vitamin A, I take 3-4 times what they recommend. I never really knew what was working so I kept taking pretty much everything right up until now. MSM is phenomenal along with Vit C,D,E, Omega-3. If you search my past postings, you will see pretty much what I have been taking for the past few years. Hearing good things about wheat grass and colloidal silver. I feel very strongly that cancer can be beaten in a variety of ways. Keeping your pH balance is also very important. I am always available to you for any help I can give. I wish the best for you!
