My brother has non-hodgkins lymphoma. He had chemo with stem cell transplant and had several months feeling reasonably well. However the tumour returned and he had more chemo. He had a scan and was told that the chemo had not touched it! So now they have recommended a course of chemo that has been, apparently, fairly successful with Burkitts Lymphoma. The family are relying on me to come up with some natural remedy ideas for him since that is where my interest lies. For weeks I have studied the net and all I find is conflicing ideas. I obviously dont want to suggest something for him that will do more harm than good. Can anyone please give me some help with this.

RE: non-hodgkins lyphoma

Its so sad that even though he can see the logic in this he is afraid to stop the chemo tabs! I think you must be a very brave person to have taken the natural way as opposed to chemo etc. And I am more than convinced that you made the right decision. The docters even want him to go back to hospital again next Monday togive him more Rituximab and chemo tabs....not bad for an establishment that less than a week ago sent him home with nothing else they could do and not even an appointment to return. They just said to pop back if he wanted to try the Ritoxin...Amazin and very very annoying!

Hi Smoothie,

Just thought I'd throw this into the pot - I am taking Maitake mushroom - have a look at [link= http://www.healthcastle.com/herb_mushroom_maitake.shtml ]http://www.healthcastle.com/herb_mushroom_maitake.shtml[/link].

It is well known in Chinese communities for fighting cancer. It is completely natural and inexpensive.

RE: non-hodgkins lyphoma

Smoothie, remember, Chinese medicine is only a few thousand years old-what could they possibly know? They are aware of western medicine but choose to go with what's worked for those thousands of years. They also have a much lower incidence of cancer-do you suppose they might be on to something? I also use some of their elements such as carcinosa, arsenicum and sulphur. Yes, arsenicum is a derivative of arsenic. People of the Asian countries in general have lower occuring cancer, probably due to the fact that they don't poison themselves with all the crap that so many others do in other countries. As I told you, I am open to any and all that can help.

Smoothie, my latest blood draw (Oct 25th) shows PSA at 4.7. I was stressed on some personal issues last month and it was at 5.7-things settle down and the PSA does, too. I only tell you this to emphasize the importance of the immune system. A variance .4 since Feb'05. Please let me know how your brother is doing. I pledge my continuing support and concern.

Hi Smoothie

My Mum has just been on a Jin Shin Jyutsu course and her instructor treats 2 people with NHL (not sure of the grade etc) but he has recommended this as a complimentary therapy. I'm not too sure what it is all about but certainly worth looking at.

Take care - love and light as always

kcat thanks for your continued support. I showed my brother your messages and he gets much comfort from them. Today he felt better and walked out to the garden for a walk round which is something he hasnt done for almost 2 wks. He has managed to eat more today also.
Selenite, I have not come across this but I will look intoit so many thanks. Thankfully he is open to any new suggestions now. He has started to tell visitors the things I have been giving him, such as the vits etc. and he has been surprised at how many of them think they are a good idea. So that all helps!

RE: non-hodgkins lyphoma

In the early dark days of my diagnosis, a friend ,who is a doctor, told me I would beat this thing because she felt I had such a good attitude. I, too, feel very strongly about this. So good to hear about the walk!! Tell him that he must resolve to win this fight-it will count for so much. I have made this my life's work because it truly is and I'm dedicated to help anyone in any way I can. I'm glad to hear he is eating-very important. My best to you always.

RE: non-hodgkins lyphoma

Hi kcat
Im afraid that after a week of struggling to eat or sleep he finally died at half eight this morning. Its been a tough week with him being in so much pain. He actually had a better day yesterday and managed to drink some tea and eat some grapes, he had no pain and wasnt sick all day. He went to sleep and just never woke up. I arrived at his side about 1 minute after he died. I want to thank you and everyone else that has sent me replies to my queries, you have helped me so much through these difficult weeks. He told me on numerous occasions how much it had helped him and the whole family when I started him on the supplements etc as it gave him something to focus on and he is sure that it helped his quality of life and that of his wife, 2 children and all the family. Thank you xx

Thank you both for your kind words. It is very difficult coming to terms with his death but at the same time it is a comfort knowing that he is not in pain anymore. xx

Can i ask, did your brother have any signs and symptoms when he first got diagnosed with non hodgkins?

I am waiting on test results as my doctor is certain i have non hodgkins. I had a lump removed from my neck 2 and a half weeks ago and am still awaiting my results so any info you could tell me would be great.

If im being to nosey, please do tell me.

RE: non-hodgkins lyphoma

Aw you are not being nosey! The first sign that my brother had was a pain in his side. At first he put it down to a strain from playing tennis or something but it got worse. I will ask his wife tomorrow if there was anything else as its 12mths agoand I cant honestly remember everything about it right now. His problem was in an area just below his liver and as far as I know he didnt have any problems with any other lymph nodes getting enlarged. Because it was pressing on his liver he was quite jaundiced as well. I do know that his docters told him that NHL was very treatable only unfortunately it turned out that he had a very agressive type. Usually it responds very well to the chemo treatments I believe.

Hi Smoothie,

Thanks for asking!!

Actually things are going quite well so far. I had the rituximab and chemo 2 weeks ago and, literally within 24 hours my glands had reduced in size. The nausea was contained very well and I am taking various other medicines to avoid infections. My hair has finally started falling out - I may make another week with some hair and then off it all comes!! My next course of treatment is this coming Friday. I'll let you know how it goes...

Toall members: if you would like to know more about anything I am going thro, please feel free to ask me. Remember: knowledge is power.Weneed toraise awareness of all cancers !!!

Love and Light to all of you

RE: non-hodgkins lyphoma

To all of You

Just to let you know I have now completed my chemo course and my scan has shown me to be completely disease-free. I know some of you do not agree with chemo (kcat!!!) but don't knock it too much.

I have lost all the hair on my head including eyebrows and eyelashes but this is not important when it means you have your health back.

What happens next? I'm not sure - we all react differently to chemo. I have a friend in South Africa who beat NHL and has been cancer free for 6 years now - all down to her fantastic positive attitude.

So keep smiling and keep thinking positive. We can beat this!!!

Again, if I can answer any questions pleas efeel free to ask.

Love and Light

Lyndsey, not everyone agrees with what I'm doing, either. The important thing is for us to get better in any way we can. The things you and I have talked about, I hope you will continue to do them. They can only help you. You MUST have your immune system at the top of its game. Keep positive as you are. I want only the best outcome for you, no matter how its arrived at. My best to you always.

Cures

Soothie.... Tadjuel here.
Options: Take him to Germany and let them treat him the natural way, they know how to cure things there.
If not, look into cleaning the blood by eating lots of certain fruits for over week straight, nothing else.
Colon cleanse by water everyday for a couple weeks, eat raw foods, such as beets, cabbage, garlic, carrots, kale, collard greens.... Put these thru a food processor raw, eat alot.
Look up liquid Zeolite.
Get him on MMS. Miracle Mineral Solution. Look online MMS Jim Humble.
B-17 essential.
His body is toxic somewhere, usually the colon from bad eating habits, cooked foods, cooked oils, etc. Refinded foods also are all bad. Micro bugs, worms also cab be at play, have thorough screening. If you guys have any cats, dogs, birds, etc, check for those bugs they carry, he may have some causing toxicity.
Cancers begin because the body has had it with the overwhelming toxins in it. The body can do nothing except CHANGE itself to survive. Clear out the impurities, oxygenate the blood... presto!
You have to find the source of toxic. If he has a toxic mind in thinking and choice of music it will effect everything too.
Get a PH tester first of all if nothing else, test and see his PH is acidy!
Get his PH back to normal because when the PH is normal healnig takes place. Fruits, greens, raw and lots of clean water.... lots... flush out the system.
There is another good thing to try also... "Indian herb" Kathleen #806-647-1741 Get the water and enzymes she sells too!

Good luck, he can win if he really wants to.
