I have just this last half hour been told that mum Lynne has breast cancer. It's in group 2 (if that means anything to you), where the cells are fairly identifiable as the cells they should be - i.e. cancer hasn't completely taken over, and they haven't formed a lump. So this is promising I think.
She noticed a malformity in the breast shape, but without puckering of the skin or any lump/mass felt, even the doctor couldn't find a lump.
She is due for a lumpectomy in a fortnight, and a course of radiothrapy after.

If anyone wants to send her healing, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm interested in how you all coped, and I'd love to hear some inspiring stories if you have any. I'm in pieces.

Love and light in this shadowed time for me,
Sarah x

Sarah, I'm sorry to hear of your mum's diagnosis.

I work for a cancer charity and meet many people with various stages of breast cancer (and other cancers). It sounds like your mum's cancer has not spread and is in the early stages and I know many people who go on to lead full lives after cancer.

You may find that the Cancerbackup website is useful to you, although some people don't want to know everything.

Wishing your mum a full recovery and lots of love to all of you who are supporting her.

Thanks Aromababe. I'm one of those that is reassued by science (if it sounds right), so information is very good at this stage.
Love

Good luck to your mum. I had cancer and came through with a combination of modern medicine and alternative treatments in particular changing diet and lifestyle. It's scary but there's a lot of reason to hope
Another cancer charity that specialises in alternative treatments for cancer is cancer active or if you just want some simple advice on diet and herbal remedies try Naturopathic Health

Thanks Herbal-D
She's a lot less aternative-minded than I am, but she's quite accepting of the fact that I will force those apricot kernels down her neck if she refuses to cooperate!! lol
Nah, she's quite open to it all, as long as it's got some science behind it. She's in the medical profession, so she's very much that-way-inclined.
Thankyou for the websites too, I'll have a look tonight.
I'm trying to keep hopes high my end in the hope it rubs off all over the shop - it's difficult though, as you say.
Much love,
Sarah x

Don't know if they have this across the pond but if it is early stages have her stay away from surgery, chemo, etc and do this if it is available.
