I have multiple issues going on, but now this one is the worst..
Some back story..
I had an MRI done way back in 2013 or 2014 and it showed I have degenerative disc in my lower back (i forget which disc(s).. i had been dealing with maybe 5 years prior to this of just low back issues.
I think the major contributor to all this, is slouching in my chair at work (full back height type chair etc).. work in computers so this is a big problem that i only recently have been making more of a conscious effort to correct or prevent, but i still do it.. i also try to take walks throughout the day to stretch.
The lower lumbar pain is quite bad at its worst and it too would be aggravated by sleeping, but nowhere near the degree my middle back now has been hurting in the mornings for the last 6 months or so.
Back in Oct 2017 i had another MRI done for the thorasic region, where i complained about the pain (area under shoulder blades, more mid back just above the lumbar "burning" regions that get bad on both the left and right sides).
There was a time back in say 2015 where i did try a chiro for the lower issue.. didnt help much.. then i did PT twice a week, helped slightly, they also did pressure point massaging which helped a little..
Back to the last 6 months..
Gradually over time this mid back pain in the AM has gotten worse and worse.. if i take 3 ibuprofens at night before bed i can sometimes curb the degree of pain.
I've seen a Rhumo doctor recently with no help.. I've been to two different OrthoPedic doctors (but not Osteo?).. both said there was nothing structurally wrong with me.
When the pain started in mid to upper back 6 months ago i was on my normal mattress at night.. then just after i added a memory foam 3" topper.. maybe it worsened the situation by sticking me in a bad posture in bed, unsure.
I'm basically a side sleeper.. pillow between knees, i've tried making myself straighter as i sleep and more rounded, either way its all the same..
**hurts so bad after 6 hours or more that when i breath in it catches you.. turn backward on the bed and it grabs you to the point you almost want to scream from the pain.. i
I wake up move around after about 1.5 hours its minimal but there.. ie: if you go around a bend in the car, say left bend where the left side of you pushes into the seat you can feel that pain on that left side (and right side) still there, but no where near as bad.
I recently went to see a neuro surgeon because i had arachnid cysts show up on the mri recently but he said they are nothing to worry about.. gave me muscle relaxers (didnt work).. a gel (didnt try).. and ordered a tens electrical machine (tried before didnt help much)..
In meantime for about a month i've been going to the gym 4 days a week for about 1.5 hours each day.. doing primarily a quick run on treadmill for 20 to stretch the legs then stretching on a matt, trying to do some of the PT exercises i used to do.. like back lifts.. leg lifts.. leg lifts on a ball.. deep knee bends.. then weights.. and universals that work the back like rowing machines.
The neuro also said to go see the chiro or PT.. i may seek out a good chiro.. but i still worry something else is going on, something worse than just poor posture and with only two limited MRI's.. i just dont know, maybe it is truly this and core exercise and maybe Pilates will help (though maybe pilates is too much for me right now).
*he also said to use a foam roller on the back (whole back i think), i asked if i should rotate more to the side when doing lower and he said no (which is odd i think).. but said to decompress the spine.. so i have an amazon 6" foam one coming (i had started using this at my previous gym, new one doesnt have them).
Sorry long winded but just seeking answers and it helps to know the complete picture.. maybe someone else out there has gone through this and found a solution
Thanks in advance

Interesting, i havent heard of this.. it appears its something you have to go to a specialist that knows it, for? Not sure how you go about finding out.. do you just call local PT places and ask if they do it? (or chiros?)

Anyone have any info on this?
Google "Bowen Technique" - there are a number of schools teaching this, in various forms, and most have registers of practitioners.
