Hello
I have had lower back pain for about three months. Just before christmas I started to experience severe pain in my testicles and pelvis area and down the side of my legs. I was wondering whether this could all be connected?
I was wondering whether I have twistetd my pelvis...
I have been to see many doctors and had many massages none of which have cured the problem in my back or groin. I have had blood tests, urine test all of which show nothing.
Does anybody have any ideas what might help... I have to say the whole thing is very depressing. I'm 29 and work in central london.

Have you been to see a chiropractor or osteopath and have they taken x-rays?
It sounds very painful. I have lower back pain and hip pain, mainy from an accident I had many years ago, which normally I can deal with, but sometimes the pain is quite bad.
If you haven't had any x-rays done, I think it would be a good idea just to find out what is going on. I take aloe vera with added glucosamine and MSM which helps a great deal.
Hope you get this sorted out.
could be linked to Psoas muscle which links lumbar region , pubic and inner thigh regions and is linked to referring pain in testicles/ pubic region, seek myofascial treatment or therapis twith knowledge of clinical massage, gentle stretching techniques,
perhaps consider inguinal hernia or psoas bursitis as an afterthought
Hi Will,
I don't know if I'm allowed to do this (only trying to help moderator). There's a website called 'SpineHealth' or 'Spinalheath' it's a lot more dedicated to the more medical side of pain and conditions and they have video's you can watch. It may help. However have you tried Osteopaths?
Marie
Hello All
Thanks for your responses. I have seen two osteopaths, one of them told me absolutely nothing. The other said that I have twisted by pelvis on the left side and because of that the right side of my back is inflamed and this is also causing pain in my testicles and lower back.
The osteopath said do I have any questions and I was not sure what to ask, should I get more specific details?
I have had two treatment so far from the osteopath and feel slightly better. Althought the osteopath only spent 20 minutes with me on the second visit and this left me disappointed and a bit confused as to why the treatment was so short. Especially when you pay the full wack.
Anyway I have been doing more streching and the back does feel better so I'm wondering whether I should increase continue with my sports activities or leave it for a couple of weeks.
Thanks again
Will
How I cured my chronic back pain and RSI.
Hey,
Im 28 years old (m) and have had a similar thing. I had chronic back pain since I was 17-18, RSI and horrible tingling/pain around my testicles for many years.
I went down the 'conventional' route and got no joy at all - lots of physio, steroid/cortizon injections, pilates etc. + an 2 MRI scans that revealed nothing.. still got lots of aches/pains.
It wasnt until I got into the Alexander Technique thing took a major turn for the better. I also tried yoga (hit and miss- wouldnt recommend it), Bowen Technique (very good), Reiki (relaxing but not in the same league as Alexander). I then combined Alex Tech with Acupuncture and that, for me, was a wonderful combination. It took me around a year but body feels 100% better, the pain has know gone and Im one happy individual.
Alexander Tech will get you in control of your muscles to release and make you be able to give a better diagnose to an acupuncturist, and the acupuncture will speed things up (the balance) and make the Alexander Technique easier to 'perform/learn'.
Alex Tech costs £30 a go - Dont be put off by the naff literature on the subject! (STAT.org.uk etc).
Acupuncture between £25-£60.
Be aware that acupuncturists tend to try and do a hard sell on you to buy herbs, more treatment(acupressure) etc. Tell them the situation!!
I decided to move back with parents to afford it but it was definitely worth it now.
So that is what I would recommend.
Good luck (major changes CAN happen!)
Repressed Anger, attached to past hurts seem to show up in the lower back region of the body. The groin area can also reflect this too, specifically if you have repressed anger towards a male in your life or from your past.
I would suggest you reflect at your life and past experiences and see where you have hidden hurt against certain men or a certain male. The pain to me, says you need to bring it to your conscious mind and forgive and completely forget.

I agree with johric and Peter Smith.
During my Alexander course I naturally found it benefical to start forgiving people and what they I had done in the past without being ask by my teacher.
Johric, where did learn this? Self experience?
Johric, where did learn this? Self experience?
Kinda. i'm familiar with the universal laws, but more so, i can read people and their ailments and immediately know the solution.
I've treated lots of people successfully with these symptoms. Shame you're in London and I'm in Northern England. However look for an experienced Bowen therapist. Bowen is terrific for pelvic balancing, psoas release and there is a good move for testicular pain on the edge of the pubic bone. Hope this helps.
could be your si joint. i had testicula pain with my si joint and lower back problem
You have soft tissue inflammation around ..

In the suprapubic, adductor attachment area, you suffer from soft tissue inflammation which lead to your pain,,,,,deeply and intensive acupuncture(not general acupuncture) can help!

Hi Will,
I woudl say yes the pain in your testicules and you legs are linked.
Concerning what trigger it I would give you the same suggestion as Johric: ANGER 😡 with not a doubt.
It s a pure feeling.
There nothing wrong in your plevis nor your bones.
So I do not believe an otheopath would helps you as there is not physical cause to your pain.Working on your physical body is not going to change your feelings.
To stop the pain, you would better learn to release this anger blokked inside.
Do you know Bach flower remedies?
I really think they could help you to deal with this problem.
Lobellia
Acupressure Mat is the best answer. It helps with most of muscle and joint pain and all sort of upper and low back pain.
Dear All
It has nothing to do with forgiveness or anger, there are no unresolved issues in my life.
However the pain has changed completely, I no longer have pain in my lower back or testicles. I now have pain in my right buttock, down the back of my legs and quite severe on my ankle.
The pain is severly present when sitting for any period of time.
If not sitting I can run, jump, play football all without pain but the moment I sit I am in agony.
Any ideas

Hi,
This sounds just like me 7 months ago. You could have the start of a bulging disc or it could be the pereformus (i think thats how you spell it) pinching on you nerve (the big bum muscle).
About 7 months ago my left buttock went into spasm and i had very bad pain down my leg and in my testicles, with massage and exercise i managed to sort it out. I also had a bulging disc so in March everything went bad and i have ended up having surgery. This does not mean that you are the same but if i were you i would get some treatment on it and also ask for an MRI. If you say that you have had pain in the testicles they may get you in quick.
Olli
I have to say that the pain is quite bad, especially at work where I am sitting most of the day..
I have had an MRI and I get the results of this on 3rd July. However the woman on the phone did say that there is a disc bulge. The pain got so bad I went to the doctors on saturday who said whatever you do don't have surgery as the the discs below and above will get affected. He also said alot of research showed that ostoepaths and chiropracters did not help. He said the best thing I could do would be pilates or yogas
I have had numerous amounts of massage and nothing has helped so far...

Hi,
Lets hope the MRI shows something up. And for your doctor to say never have surgery is crap he is not the one in pain!! :banghead::banghead:
Surgery is not always the answer and getting a good exercise program can help a lot. Before the disc in my back started to pinch on the nerve that controlled my bladder. i was doing an exercise program every day that kept the pain at bay most days. There was only so much i could do and when things went bad due to the disc basicly coming out out and pushing on loads of nerves i was rushed in to hospital for an operation.
I spent 7 months in pain, i had good days and bad days but at the end of the day i am happy with the results of the op as i only have a little pain now in my right leg which comes on if i do too much.
If you can go private do so as the NHS is crap and i had so many problems with my doctors and everytime i went into A&E.
Keep in touch

Pain in lower back
Repressed Anger, attached to past hurts seem to show up in the lower back region of the body.
Johric hi
I suffer very often from pain in my lower back.
In my case, it is when i worry about money.
I can remember being seized on the floor with extreme pains and would repeat affirmations like " i trust the process of life, i release the past .." and within few minutes would be up as if nothing had happened.
While tapping this, i can feel my lower back so tight, i just know that it is teling me i still worry about money. It has nothing to do with any physical pain, although i do feel it down there, just my body telling me " hey, warning, you are doing it again! ". The thing is i can remove the pain in few minutes, but it will be back whenever i worry.
 I have mental blocks about money and tried to use EFT to remove them, with little succes i may say. I would feel better to really better for a while with with clear results, one after one, and it would put a smile on my face all days and sundainly everything will come back to where i started. And i worry again and suffer again. There are triggers in my mind and dont know what they are. Tried to analyze to find out, but no success in this [otherwise i would not be writing about this..:)].
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Regards
Gilles
hi Gilles
Well. First things first, you need to have a look at your beliefs about money. I would suggest you write down your thoughts on money. Are you programmed with such beliefs as "money is the root of all evil" and "We can't afford this" or "im not good enough"? Your focus is on lack, and not on abundance. Do you not feel worthy to have abundance? I would sugest you write down all your limited beliefs on money (and the lack of it) and then burn it. Money is nothing more than a by product on your focus of joy of having a life that you want and desire.
When you concentrate on not having enough, the law of attraction brings you not enough because its a pure vibration. I suggest you practise hopefull thoughts, of allowing abundance in your life. In any way.
Remember to have a wonderful life, filled with joy and happiness, there is no need to become "spiritual" you just need to love yourself more. In doing so, then your essence is a spiritual being.
Kindest Regards
JohRic
today has been very bad, last night I could not sleep and was in so muc pain. I feel completely lost, my right leg is killing me when I sit down especiall the ankle.
Who do I see Osteopath, Physio, Chryro Practer. I'm starting to think none of these things can actually help?
Hi Willmiller
Well the right side of the body is male energy be it your own or males around you. Do you have any issues with moving forward in life at the moment. perhaps if so, this is showing up in your body. The only thing i could suggest is get healing of some sort, reiki or emotional therapy to get rid of such blockages.
Good Luck
JohRic
Hi Will,
You posted some time ago, so not sure if you are still suffering - I hope not. However, if you are, sounds like you need some support to help you understand and take responsibility for helping yourself to heal.
I'd suggest 1:1 pilates, from a fully qualified Pilates Foundation teacher. You can find them on the Pilates Foundation website, and see which teachers work near to you. (Hi Moderator - not advertising, this is genuinely my advice and I'm trying to help)
Or, alternatively, Google to find a good Scaravelli Inspired yoga teacher nearby. They specialise in working with the spine and freeing up the vertebrae. My teacher (John Stirk - an osteopath and yoga teacher) has had two herniated discs, and now moves with absolute freedom - you'd never know he was confined to bed for 6 months. He now teaches mostly teachers, in West London, but there are several of his students scattered around London, and you could possibly find one of them to help you. Obviously, if you have a disc problem, you will need to take medical advice before embarking on any physical exercise plan. Pain down the outside of the leg is a pretty classic symptom of sciatica (inflammation/irritation of sciatic nerve - possibly from bulging disc, sometimes from tight piriformis). This will be aggravated by sitting a lot and little physical movement.
From your posts, it sounds like you need individual attention, which will be around £60 per hour, but should help you to get back some control. Gradually, you will be able to move back into class situations, and then keep up the exercise. If therapists or teachers behaviour is confusing, then you could ask them about it - they should be able to justify their reasons for giving a short treatment, and I would have thought they should charge you less for it. It seems only fair and reasonable.
I hope this helps, and that you get better soon.
