Hi,
I've found something useful to help back pain so thought I would post here.
Sarah Key (Australian Physio. - have a google for more info.) has an app. called the 'TheBackApp'. It is a reasonable price and she demonstrates the exercises on little videos that you can download. I have been trying one of the 'appeasing' ones and have to say it is actually easing my lower back agony.
Worth a try!
other tips!
Hey mouse16 thanks for the good post! I'm sure that will be of help to others on this forum! I will have to give it a look myself.
I thought I would add some other tips which may help people - try to get more exercise, you can do this by swimming and using exercise bikes! Regular physical activity can help ease inflammation and muscle tension. Sometimes it actually makes back pain worse when you limit exercise and rest. Another Tip is to watch your weight! Extra pounds, especially in your midsection, can make back pain worse by shifting your center of gravity and putting strain on your lower back. Staying within 10 pounds of your ideal weight may help control back pain.
If people choose to they may want to look at this site it has some good tips for back care, it also has information on a back pain relief program which I have used with very good results.

In general it is good. But better to know exactly what causes the back pain. It is not always muscles or disc.
Knowing the reason and source and type of pain is a must if you would like to solve the problem
