I have tries IBS tablets it did not work so I use pain killers now. at first I thought it was trapped wind but it is not that. For instants its not just dairy products I have done some tests myself. It seems to be more when I am on the move shopping walking exercising .. Help any one out there????:(

Hi. Just a passing thought - are you sure it's related to digestion? I used to have the sharp, severe pain you describe, at the side, especially when exercising, for years. I took pain killers, tried avoiding certain foods etc.
It turned out to be an ovary problem (impacted eggs / cysts - worse at ovulation time. Now sorted out.)
Does it get worse in the middle of the monthly cycle, half way between periods?
Hope you & your doctor get it diagnosed & fixed soon.

If this pain has been going on for some time, you should go and see your GP for a diagnosis.

However, why don't you think its trapped wind? What tests have you done?

Hello there, thanks for getting back to me so fast, I had a CT scan and then an ultrasound they found small cysts on my left ovary and they said it was normal of someone at my age 47 and not to worry but you are right it is worse around the dates about 2 weeks before my period. I will go back to the GP. how did you manage to get sorted?

Well, I'm glad you've got a diagnosis at last, and hopefully you'll soon get treatment!

When I suffered from this problem I was 20 years younger, & undergoing investigations for infertility; so my problem finally got fixed by minor surgery to remove the cysts while they were in there, so to speak. I also took hormone-stabilising pills. But every case is different.
Have the specialist or GP suggested any form of treatment yet?
Best wishes to you for a pain-free future! It's such a relief when it stops!

finding the cause

Hi - have you tried having some Reflexology to help discover where the problem really is? Although we are not allowed to diagnose, I do find that it's very helpful in pinpointing the problem area & also in rebalancing the body.

I have uncovered problems that the client didn't know they had, including a problem ovary which when I pressed them to get checked was found to have early stage cancer - treatable at that stage!!

good luck!

🙂
