Oh, bless! Maybe if you tell him they're bringing the stuff from the pyramids to London for them to see it can be more excitement rather than a disappointment. I loved Egyptology when I was a child too.

RE: Joshua and School Trip soon

HelloMarchhare, Iwas showing him about Egypt on the Internet and told him that they bring things over and put them in a places called Museumsfor people to see, so we dont have to go to egypt.etc... Also we can look at them on the Internet.
Thing is Joshua forget's what you've tell him sometimes soI still have to explain[sm=scratchchin.gif].
Number he never forgets, he just loves numbers, adds up very quickly.

Oh, that's great, he'll get excited about the mathematics of the pyramid building and the astronomical alignments and what have you then?

RE: Joshua Enjoyed His Day At The Museum

Joshua had a great day at the museum, he talk about the mummy he saw and said he was called ginger, I found out about ginger on the web, curled up body of a man that had been found buried in the sands in Egypt and had not decade (had not been mummified).
At first josh could not remember anything he saw, but I sat down with him and slowly recalled his day. He loved the egyptianhieroglyphics and insisted, "we need to go and see the pyramids next 😉

He brought home a large chocolate roman coin £3.50[&:]and a chocolate bar £2.50[:o]. He said he did not want to buy any pencils or books:D

It was a good day and I very proud of him, he was very good on the coach and in the museum.

Has he found this? Lot's of funny little bits and pieces on the bbc site and some of them look quite child friendly.

Hi Lightwinds,
Hope you and your family enjoyed christmas,
I hadn't read this post before it's great to hear that Joshua enjoyed himself.
My eyes pricked with tears as I read your posts, it makes me realise how full of pride we are with our children when they accomplise steps into the bigger world.
How lucky Joshua is to have you and you to have him of course.
Happy New Year

Update, Joshua will be 10 years old in December and has inproved in many ways.
We have not long had a review at the hospital, another new doctor
Here a little on Joshua hospital report.

Assessed by the speech and language team, the assessment revealed,
Joshua’s vocabulary was within normal limits for his age but he has mild to moderate word finding difficulties, Joshua was also found to have moderate difficulties with understanding language and moderate to sever problems with expressive language. Joshua is under speech and language therapy team for follow up and he getting extra help through the school.
Sometimes he gets bored easily and when he concentrates on one task he ignores all surroundings which is a problem for him especially in the PE lessons where he sometimes runs or bump into other children. When Joshua is excited he comes up with abnormal movement of his arms and legs.
Family history of Asperger’s Autisum and ADHD.

You must be so proud of Joshua.

What a lovely lad he is - good luck with the assessment. Thinking of you both.
