As I have a son with Asperger's, I have done quite a lot of reading and research on the internet. I have looked at many sites about Asperger's but I did come across one that I really liked. It is called and the reason it is so good is that it is written by a young girl (I think around 25). Under the Emotional section she describes how she sees day to day living (which is quite different to how we would) and so it is like walking in their shoes. It is different to knowing the symptoms of Asperger's but this ismore helpful because you feel like you are living in their world when you read it and it makesAsperger's much easier to understand.

RE: A great website for people with Asperger's
Hi,
I have Aspergers and I have to agree that it is a really, really excellent site! There ispoem on the site that Suz wrote; it is not going to win any prizes, but it really does describe what it is like to have Aspergers very well indeed.

There a good book called "The Curious Incident of a Dog in the Night Time" ([link= http://preview.tinyurl.com/yp8nop ]http://preview.tinyurl.com/yp8nop[/link]) which is a story of a child who has Aspergers and gives a clear insight into how the world appears to him. It a very entertaining and enlightening story. I've linked to the Adult version of the book on Amazon here, but there's also a Childrens version as well for the younger audience who may wish to read such an story (perhaps to understand better any friends they may have who have this condition).
I thoroughly enjoyed the book as have others I know who have read it.

I have also read this book Giles and agree it gives a wonderful insight into how some with As views the world. I had a client only this week who was telling me about her son who has As and she said he is now begining to notice that he is 'different' but doesn't know why. She wasn't sure how to explain to him but I was in Waterstone's this week and came across a book called 'Geeks, Freaks and Asperger's' (I think!) and it was written by a 14yr old boy with this condition. The comments on the back of the book were very positive. Maybe this book might be useful?

I read that book too, 'Geeks, Freaks and Asperger's', very suitable for a teenager with Aspergers.
