Hello all
I am looking for some advice please. Can any one recommend any practitioners in central Scotland that carry out food intolerance testing? I don't just want to pick one out of the phone book. Also what kind of questions should I be asking them about their techniques? How are food intolerances tested for? Is it a blood test?
I've had a read through previous posts and I see that Andrew/Anahata has recommended an NAET practioner in Scotland called Aaron Cole, I tried the NAET website and google but can't seem to track him down. Does anyone know where I might find him, or can anyone recommend another practioner in central Scotland,please?
Thanks

RE: Food intolerance testing Scotland - please help
There are various ways of testing for food intolerances. Kinesiologists use the muscle response to see how your body responds when it comes in contact with substances. They will also check to see if you are nutritionally deficient and that is why you are having challenges with some foods. To find a qualified kinesiologist near you go to the practitioner search on [link= http://www.kinesiologyfederation.org ]http://www.kinesiologyfederation.org[/link]. or phone 08700 113 545 to speak to someone in their admin office. The website also has more information about kinesiology and how it works.

Sorry - as slow as ever on that one!
The chap you're looking for is Aaron Cote, with an accent over the 'e'.
The clinic isthe Aberdeen Allergy Clinic
[link= http://allergyfree.tripod.com/index.htm ]http://allergyfree.tripod.com/index.htm[/link]
The info you're looking for is on the site and you can email him any other q's. As it's a Tripod site it is ladened with pop ups & takes a while to down load, but it is all there.
He's Canadian, so think he trained in Canada or the USA, so that could be why he's not on the NAET for Europe database - [link= http://www.naeteurope.com/gb_default.asp ]http://www.naeteurope.com/gb_default.asp[/link]
I highly recommend him as he set me on the road to recovery, before eloping to Scotland. But I had already said that I was going to train in NAET myself, so I and the patients that I had already referred to him weren't left stranded.
BTW - NAET isn't just a system of testing - the point of NAET is to desensitise to allergies, sensitivities & intolerances. There is some avoidance involved, but it's only usually for 25 hrs after treatment for the particular allergen treated for. In cases of severe allergic reactions, then this may be longer and probably needs various other substances clearing before hand.
Andrew.
