Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and forum..... I'm a Reiki Master but I like to use colour and crystals in my healing. I have a client with cancer at the moment and is receiving chemo and thus loosing her hair. I've read in one of my crystal healing books and online that Chalcopyrite is good for the side effects of chemo and promotes hair growth afterwards. (I'm also using petalite and smokey quartz) However, I'm confused at what Chalcopyrite is. Some references are to it being Peacock Ore and others to Bornite and the description of it in some books refers to it as being yellow and golden, whereas the peacock ore is multi coloured. I saw the forum questions and answers about Chalcopyrite posted back in 2003, but I'm still confused..... Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks in advance. x

Welcome to a fellow reiki master:) I am glad to hear you are not afraid to work with patients receiving chemo. I've never heard of chalcopyrite . My experience with using crystals is limited but I was taught that the crystal itself will let you know if it can be used for healing. I gather you don't have any chalcopyrite at the moment. I would be guided by your intuition. If you can easily obtain a chalcopyrite and it is happy to be used for healing go with it. Otherwise I would tend to stick with the crystals you already have.

Hi.
Thanks for sharing your ideas.

I have peacock ore which is why I wanted to find out if indeed it is chalcopyrite. I haven't come across any discrepancy like this before so just wondered if there was a definitive answer out there.

The concept of definitive answers and reiki is almost an oxymoron lol. Stand in your truth....use the peacock ore you have if it is a healing crystal. Does it matter if it is chalcopyrite or not? It is your intention that is important.

I agree to a certain degree but also know that the reason crystals work with us because of the way they're vibrating which is why they all have different qualities.

I agree with this. Our own body parts have there own natural resonances and if a crystal's natural resonance is in sympathy then we will feel this as a benefit. Intention plays little part in this quantum process. It is more like attunement.

Yes....but I believe your intuition is an acceptable guide to whether the peacock ore has the qualities that are needed.

Chalcopyrite is often confused with Peacock Ore which is acid treated to give those wonderful colours. The base of Chalcopyrite is bronzey but can change as the outside oxidises and so produces different colours which are then enhanced with the acid treatment. High in copper and sulphur I can see that it could be good for the use you are after and if your Peacock Ore feels right then think about it.. in fact it has been through chemo too?

You may find that it is more than intuition. It is very likely that your own resonances have attuned to the crystal naturally. Some people seem to attune easily, whereas people like myself seem oblivious to this effect. Many times people have said to me can I feel the "heat" from this crystal or that but I just can't. Maybe one day.

Thank you so much for your help. It makes sense now.

I will definitely use it.
