Hi all

I am thinking of doing the 7 month part time training course with the Training Room in Camden starting on the 16th November. I want to know if its worth doing it or not. The response on the forums is positive but it sounds like you dont get much help looking for a job.

Has anyone done it before?

Thanks
Sas.

Are you intending to do Personal Training?

Very few, if any, training companies in any industry can assure employment after training - it's at this point in a new career that the real work starts - getting out there and selling yourself; networking; marketing etc!

I worked with a PT for a few months, who came into the industry from a 4 year degree course in physiotherapy. She was very good, but only managed to find about 20 people to work with on a one-to-one basis, which simply was not viable as she had rent to pay. She ended up PT'ing in her spare time, and went to work in a call centre.

Sadly no-one is going to give you much help looking for a job. Thats not the role of the course provider. Finding work and building client lists is up to the individual

I've not done the course so I can't say. I was just making a general point
